A Frothy Floral Spring Wedding at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and White Willow Farms

Claudia & Jake met at Saint Meinrad as interns for the One Bread One Cup conference. They bonded over Pokémon go and giving tours of the Marian Shrine, so there was no question their wedding day at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and White Willow Farms would be filled with faith and fun!

They chose an April day, just shortly after Easter, when we here in Indiana see nature come back to life, and their palette of bright spring colors reflected that perfectly!

Their nuptial Mass was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church where Claudia was a music teacher at the parish school. The ceremony incorporated the joyfulness of the day with their love of the liturgy and appreciation for beautiful music. Their custom wedding programs featured water-color artwork in shades of peach with a mother pelican feeding her young; a long-time symbol of Christ sacrificing Himself for us, was a seamless fit with the Easter season.

White Willow Farms was the setting for the reception and its airy interior was great for all the intentional and joyful elements they incorporated in their celebration. Claudia and Jake thoughtfully chose individual holy cards to be at each place setting, so every guest found a custom selected saint and prayer tucked neatly into their napkin fold. What a wonderful way to share our faith with family and loved ones! The guest book was a journaling Bible; a lovely way and plenty of space to have those notes of encouragement from your special day.

Claudia had a surprise groom’s cake made for Jake: a football field featuring the Monon Bell, a nod to his days of playing football at DePauw University and the rival game played each year against Wabash College. Guests were treated to cupcakes, frosted in whimsy spring colors.

This sweet couple surprised their guests with an amazing choreographed dance, followed by an active dance floor that lasted all evening.
