2025 marks seven years of business as catholic wedding planners for Simply Sacred Events! We celebrated this milestone by heading to Aspiring Eden Studios in Indianapolis for new photos. Thank you so much to our wonderful friend Colette, of Colette Lucille Photography, for these beautiful pictures.

We wanted these photos to reflect what we love to see in weddings; classic silhouettes, pops of soft colors, and black and white accents. Colette did such a great job with our simple portraits in front of neutral colored backdrops, and shots of our florals that seemed to glow!

While the purpose of the shoot was to get new photos of ourselves, we really fell in love with the photos Colette captured of our tablescape. We’re always going to be suckers for lush florals, especially when accented by antique silverware!

One of our favorite details that we incorporated into our shoot was a gold locket of the Sacred Heart! We first hatched up our plan of opening the first business dedicated to being Catholic wedding planners while sitting in a pew at the gorgeous and historic Sacred Heart of Jesus in downtown Indianapolis. Since then, we have done several weddings at that Sacred Heart and other Sacred Heart churches around the country (including a “Sacred Heart of Mary,” which is an unusual name for a Catholic church).

Sacred Heart is a truly beautiful space, and we urge you to take a look at one of the other weddings we’ve done there!
